Russian occupiers shelled frontline settlements in the Donetsk oblast 7 times in the past 24 hours, according to Vadym Filashkin, the head of the Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine on February 8.

"In the Pokrovsky district, in the middle of the night, the russians shelled Selydove - killing one person and injuring 7 others. Fifty-three high-rise buildings, 10 private houses, 7 administrative buildings, and 24 cars were damaged. In Avdiivka, one person was injured. In the Kramatorsk district, the Lyman community was subjected to 18 shelling incidents, with the outskirts of the Kostiantynivka community under fire. In the Bakhmut district, 2 private houses were damaged in the Chasiv Yar community. In the Siversk community, a house in Serebrianka was damaged. In Zvanivka, 3 houses were damaged", - wrote Filashkin.

The State Emergency Service clarified that during the elimination of the consequences of the overnight shelling in Selydove, rescuers saved 3 people from the rubble.

"At the site of a partially destroyed three-story residential building, rescuers saved two people from the rubble - a woman born in 1963 and a man born in 1986. Five people were evacuated from the damaged apartment, including one child. From the debris of a private residential house, rescuers saved a woman born in 1935", - the State Emergency Service wrote.

It is noted that russian forces shelled settlements in the Donetsk oblast 7 times within 24 hours. Eighty-one people were evacuated from the front line, including 12 children.




Earlier, it was reported that a civilian in Selydove died as a result of shelling on the night of February 8.
