In the Lazio region, there were plans to show the russian propagandist film "The Witness", containing falsehoods about the events of the russian-Ukrainian war, but this attempt was stopped. According to Ukrinform, Tuscia Web reported on this.

The screening of "The Witness" on February 18 in the city of Viterbo was announced by a pro-russian Italian-language account on the Donbass Italia on the X social media platform and pro-russian correspondent Andrea Lucidi. The screening was planned to take place at the local San Leonardo cinema.

After local publications criticized the film for being full of falsehoods, the cinema changed its position. Subsequently, a statement from the theater administration was published, indicating that the screening of this piece of propaganda would not take place.

"The San Leonardo Theater, upon receiving the proposal, decided not to agree to the screening, understanding that for the majority of people, this film would be perceived as controversial", - the statement said.
