Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, expressed gratitude to the Air Force for the "well-planned and executed operation in the Azov region". He announced this on Telegram on January 15.
"The warriors of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the enemy's long-range radar detection aircraft A-50 and the enemy's Il-22 airborne command post. Thanks to the Air Force for a well-planned and executed operation in the Azov region!" - wrote the Chief Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As reported, two military aircraft of the russian federation were shot down over the Azov Sea.
