As a result of the full-scale armed aggression by the russian federation in Ukraine, 512 children have lost their lives, and a total of over 1670 children have been affected, according to a Telegram message from the Prosecutor General's Office on December 14.

"Over 1670 children have suffered in Ukraine due to the full-scale armed aggression by the russian federation. As of the morning of December 14, 2023, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 512 children have died, and more than 1158 have sustained injuries of varying severity", -the statement notes.

The Prosecutor General's Office emphasizes that these figures are not final, and work is ongoing to establish them in areas of active combat, temporarily occupied, and liberated territories.

It is highlighted that the highest number of affected children is in the Donetsk oblast - 497, the Kharkiv oblast - 304, the Kherson oblast - 139, the Kyiv oblast - 129, the Zaporizhzhia oblast - 100, the Mykolaiv oblast - 97, the Dnipropetrovsk oblast - 97, the Chernihiv oblast - 72, and the Luhansk oblast - 67.

As previously reported, in the Odesa oblast, 11 people were affected, including 3 children, as a result of overnight shelling.
