26 Ukrainian militaries were killed inDonbass due to militants’ attacks in May. It was reported by press-secretary of the representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group, ex-president Leonid Kuchma Darka Olifer on Facebook as a rsult of the group meeting held on June 1st.
"Trilateral Contact Group noted the increasing number of attacks at the positions of the Ukrainian military, including with guns of caliber over 100 mm: mortars, cannon artillery, Grad RMs. 26 Ukrainian militaries were killed in May because of the violation of the ceasefire. SDDLR representatives continue to shell at areas planned for demining. While there is no sustainable ceasefire, it is impossible to talk about substantial progress in addressing the humanitarian, political and economic issues," - said the statement.
