Adviser to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podoliak, stated that russia's attack on Odesa demonstrates russia's attitude towards food security, African countries, the United Nations, and the prospects of global hunger. He wrote about this on his Twitter account on July 19.
"Russia deliberately and purposefully struck grain terminals and other port facilities. The main task is to prevent the shipment of Ukrainian grain", - Podoliak wrote. "These are direct strikes on civilian infrastructure and civilian population. Strikes against the global food program".
Earlier, it was reported that Odesa withstood the most massive russian attack since the beginning of the full scale war, involving Shahed drones and cruise missiles.
It was also previously reported that Zelensky stated that russia deliberately targets the infrastructure of the grain initiative.
