Putin wants to allow the transfer of children abducted from the occupied territories of Ukraine to russian families. This is reported by the russian media.
It is noted that the president of the aggressor country held a meeting with children's ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova. She told that "more than a thousand orphans and children left without parental care arrived in russia from various residential institutions in Donbas".
Ms. Lvova-Belova complained that the current legislation allows only minors with russian citizenship to be placed in families on a permanent basis.
Putin proposed changing russian laws "to eliminate the barriers that have arisen and to place all children who have arrived in families".
