Former "Minister of Revenues and Duties of the DNR" Alexander Timofeev was sentenced by the Khoroshevsky court in moscow to 3.5 years in prison in a penal colony. This is reported by the russian media.

Timofeev was accused of fraud on a large scale. In particular, according to the materials of the investigation, "Tashkent", as Timofeev was called in the "DNR", together with former adviser to ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov, Igor Sosnovsky, tried to "resolve the issue" in the criminal case of former head of Railtransholding Sergey Skvorets. Services were expensive - "Tashkent" and his companion tried to get $5 million from the victim.

Sosnovsky agreed to cooperate with the investigation and received a suspended sentence, but Timofeev will have to serve his sentence. It is noted that he spent the last year behind bars, awaiting a court verdict.
