President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a draft resolution on the dismissal of Ivan Bakanov from the post of head of the Security Service of Ukraine. The relevant draft appeared on the official website of the parliament on July 18.

The Council received this document on July 18, and the leadership of the parliament has already started its consideration. Let us note that now Bakanov has only been removed from office by the decision of the president.

In turn, People's Deputy from the Holos (Voice) party Yaroslav Zhelezniak stated that the Verkhovna Rada would consider Bakanov's dismissal at the next plenary session. This issue will be the first item on the agenda of the parliament.

Let us recall that the decision on Bakanov's resignation was published the day before. Volodymyr Zelensky explained his decision in his evening address and linked it to a series of crimes against the foundations of national security of the state. In turn, the President's Office explained that there is no question of Ivan Bakanov's dismissal yet.
