The Ukrainian city of Popasna in the Luhansk oblast was completely destroyed during its assault by russian troops. One of the pro-russian journalists wrote this on his pages on the social network.
"The scale of destruction is not comparable even to Volnovakha and Mariupol in the first days after the end of the fighting: everything is much worse, 10 times worse. There is not a single whole house left in the city, and there is not a single civilian on the streets - most were evacuated", - he writes .
He confirms that it was the "liberators from the nationalists" who destroyed the city. "The battles for the city continued almost without a break. According to the LNR military who assaulted Popasna, the struggle was for every house. The city - a strategically important transport hub - was completely liberated on May 8, and by that time, only ruins remained from the detached house suburbs", - the author states.
