"I have lately talked with the President about my point of view on this case. It is no secret that the current legislation does not allow me to be a candidate for Prosecutor General. When I was asked if the law were changed, if I would be ready. I said that I I didn’t want but I was ready. I know for sure what kind of work it is and I also know very well that it will not bring happiness to anyone," - he said.
"If such a proposal is officially formed also by the President and MPs find it possible to change legislation, I will consider such a proposal. Franky speaking, I am not asking or willing," - said the MP.
Head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada Yuriy Lutsenko has no legal education. According to the norms of the law, he can not be Prosecutor General.
