Residents of CADLO, who have received Russian passports under a simplified procedure, can be called up for military service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This was announced on Saturday by First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, - Russian media reported.
Military draft for residents of the occupied Donbas will be voluntary.
"If citizens of the Russian Federation living on the territory of the DNR and LNR want to serve in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, then the Rostov Regional Military Commissariat will accept them, register and call them up to the army", - Vodolatsky said.
The Russian politician assured that in case of conscription, these citizens would serve on the territory of the Russian Federation.
