Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated at a meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers Council today, December 2, that Ukraine is obliged to agree to direct negotiations with occupation administration of the Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and to grant these regions a special status, - Lb.ua reports.

According to him, there is no other way to stop the war, which he calls a "crisis".

"The crisis will not be overcome as long as the current Kyiv regime avoids fulfilling its international legal obligations without direct dialogue with Donetsk and Lugansk and granting these regions a special status enshrined in the Constitution", - Lavrov said.

He believes that an attempt to revise the Minsk agreements adopted in 2014-2015 is "a path to disaster".

As OstroV reported, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba refuted the propaganda theses of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov regarding Ukraine at an informal dinner before the OSCE Ministerial Council in Stockholm in the presence of ministers of the participating countries.

Let us remind that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated in the Verkhovna Rada on December 1 that the war cannot be stopped without direct negotiations with Russia.
