The "DNR" propagandists have stopped spreading boastful statements about how they allegedly were shelling the AFU positions by "return fire" and "suppressing firing points" of the enemy. Probably, the refusal from the belligerent rhetoric is connected with the statement of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny, who reported that the military in the combat zone in the Donbas were allowed to return fire to the Russian militants without the consent of "Kyiv."
This statement caused a flurry of hysterical comments in the information field of CADLO and Russia. "We demanded clarifications from the Ukrainian negotiators regarding the statements of the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU that now Ukrainian commanders can themselves decide to open fire in Donbas without the consent of their leadership. Such theses can be interpreted only as a gross violation of the existing agreements on the observance of the ceasefire, and if these are not just unfounded statements by Mr. Zaluzhny, but an innovation officially formalized in the form of a normative act, then this is essentially not only Ukraine's withdrawal from the Armistice Compliance Measures, but also the destruction of obligations under the Minsk agreements", - the media controlled by the occupation authorities spread the message of the fake "DNR MFA".
Simultaneously with the accusations against Ukraine, victorious reports about the "return fire" of the "people's militia" forces (self-designation of the "DNR/LNR" illegal armed formations) disappeared from the CADLO news feeds. Meanwhile, back in March 2021, the militants received the right to open not even reprisal, but "preventive fire" by order of leader of the "DNR" Denis Pushilin. "Units of the People's Militia have been given permission to conduct preventive fire to suppress and destroy the enemy firing points", - the "People's Militia of the DNR" stated.
Throughout the summer, using the above formulations, the militants passed off all their shelling as retaliatory or prevention measures. The death of the Ukrainian servicemen, including losses in the rear areas, was presented as the suppression of the enemy firing points".
At the same time, no one in CADLO or Russia spoke about a gross violation of the ceasefire. "There is no prohibition on the opening of return fire in the Measures to Strengthen the Armistice", - the "DNR" leader has repeatedly stated.
