Situation in the area of the Joint Forces Operation on the evening of November 24 remains controlled by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the defense forces. This is reported by the press center of the JFO headquarters.
Two violations of the ceasefire were recorded during the day: Russian-occupation forces opened fire from a grenade launcher and small arms in the area of responsibility of the North tactical force not far from Shumy, a sniper was working in the other direction, in the suburb of Avdiivka. A member of the Joint Forces suffered a gunshot wound as a result of a shot from the enemy sniper. The critically injured Ukrainian defender was urgently taken to a hospital, where military doctors were fighting for his life. Unfortunately, the carried out acute resuscitation amounted to nothing. It was not possible to save the life of the warrior.
The Joint Forces Command expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
Representatives of the OSCE were immediately informed about the insolent and insidious actions of the armed formations of the Russian Federation and its mercenaries.
It is also reported that more than 3 hectares of the territory were cleared by the engineers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and 99 explosive objects were handed over for destruction.
