244 734 cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine as of October 8. This was reported by Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov at a briefing in Kyiv today, - correspondent of OstroV reports.
"Today we have another anti-record. We crossed the 5 thousand mark. 5397 people fell ill and 900 people were hospitalized with a confirmed diagnosis over the past day", - the minister stated.
According to him, 93 deaths from COVID-19 were recorded over the past day, 2263 patients recovered.
"In total, 244 734 people fell ill in Ukraine during the pandemic, including 15 511 children and 17 109 health workers. 108 233 people recovered and 4 690 died", - Maksym Stepanov said.
57 331 tests on COVID-19 were carried over the past day, of which 34 295 - by PCR and 23 036 - by EIA.
