Militants are trying to expand the territory under their control, in particular in the area of Avdeyevka and Yasinovataya. This was announced by deputy director of the department of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadim Skibitskiy today at the briefing in Kiev, - reports the correspondent of OstroV.
"The situation on the temporarily occupied territories remains difficult. It is characterized by the continuation of violations of the Minsk agreements on the ceasefire and withdrawal of heavy weapons from the contact line by Russian occupation troops," - he said.
According to him, militants are still trying to expand the territory under their control, especially in the direction of Donetsk (in Avdeyevka and Yasinovataya).
Activities of combat training under Russian command are going on the occupied territories.
"The enemy carried out 335 attacks at ATO forces positions, including the use of 120 mm howitzer D-30, mortars and anti-aircraft mounts ZU-23-2 during the week. The biggest fire impact was recorded in Slavyansk and Donetsk direction," - added V.Skibitsky.
