The MIA of Russia will begin to accept a written notice of withdrawal from citizenship of another state from October 17. This is reported by Russian Izvestia.

It is noted that the holders of the second citizenship granted by Russia are faced with the legal difficulties of withdrawing from the citizenship of their country. Allegedly, "the authorities of other states often ignore requests for withdrawal from citizenship" and thereby, violate the constitutional rights of the "new Russians".

Such "citizens of the Russian Federation" do not have the right "to be elected to the legislative bodies of state power and bodies of local self-government, as well as the right to access the public service of the Russian Federation".

"Now the notice of the MIA of the Russian Federation will be enough even to get a job in the civil service and law enforcement agencies", - the publication said.
