The "LNR" actively uses the lack of broadcasting of Ukrainian television and radio in the areas of Luhansk region free from the occupation for separatist propaganda. This was stated by the so-called "First Deputy Minister of Minister of Communications and Mass Media" of the "LNR" Yuriy Pershikov.
It is noted that the broadcasting of the Ukrainian television and radio on the free territory of Luhansk region ceased on April 4 due to the de-energization of the Concern's radio communications, radio broadcasting and television (CRRT) facilities because of the debt to the Lugansk Energy Association. In this regard, broadcasting stations of the so-called "LNR" broadcast on coincident frequencies.
"It is important for us to take advantage of this pause in order to tell people about the work of our programs to help the population. Our task today is to explain to the residents of the Luhansk region temporarily occupied by Kyiv as simply as possible what priority opportunities they can use in the LNR", - Pershikov stated.
According to the "LNR", the signal of their television and radio companies and Russian TV channels extends to most of the territory of the Luhansk region free from the occupiers.
The timing of the resumption of electricity supply to the CRRT facilities is still unknown.
