The so-called "Supreme Court of the DNR" sentenced the "armed group, which was engaged in abductions, extortion and killings on the territory of the DNR". This was reported by the separatist media with reference to the "supreme court".
"On July 18, 2018, the Supreme Court of the DNR issued a verdict against ten persons "engaged in robbery, kidnapping, extortion and murder as part of an armed group (gang) in 2014-2015". All the convicts acted under the cover of the public organization "Cossack Union The Don Army", - the "court" statement reports.
At the same time, it is hushed up that "under the guise of membership in Cossack Union" they spread the ideas of the "Russian world": they took part in hostilities, massacres and the armed seizure of part of the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts of Ukraine.
The "court" clarified that "on the basis of the crimes committed by the convicted persons, one person was sentenced to death, eight - to life imprisonment, another member of the gang - to 13 years in prison".
"The verdict came into force on the day of its adoption", - the "court" said.
