The Security Service of Ukraine has information on the plans of the Russian Federation to create prerequisites for the introduction of troops to Ukraine in the autumn of this year. This was announced at a briefing in Kyiv on Friday by deputy head of the SBU Viktor Kononenko, - Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"We have information about the plans of the Russian party. We know about the plans in the entourage of (Russsian President Vladimir - ed) Putin's group, which set a goal to create prerequisites for deploying Russian troops to Ukraine this fall under the pretext of protecting the Russian-speaking population", - he said.
According to him, as an excuse for this, they plan to involve criminals, athletes and near-criminal structures for beating participants in pro-Russian events and processions.
"But we will not let them implement these plans", - the SBU deputy head assured.
