Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Parubiy has signed the law, passed by the parliament earlier, on peculiarities of the state policy of restoration of state sovereignty of Ukraine under the temporary occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and sent it for signature to the president. This is stated on the website of the Verkhovna Rada.

It is noted that today, the Law was signed by the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and sent to the President for signature.

As previously reported, on January 18, 2018, the Verkhovna Rada passed the law "On Peculiarities of the state policy of restoration of state sovereignty of Ukraine under temporary occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions", which, in particular, recognizes the Russian Federation as an aggressor state. The document specifies that the temporary occupation of the territory of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, regardless of its duration, is illegal and does not create for the Russian Federation any territorial rights.
