Three people died as a result of explosion of gas-air mixture near the previously closed mine No 16 in Shakhtarsk in the occupied part of the Donetsk oblast. This is stated in the report of the so-called "Ministry of Emergency Situations of the DNR".
It notes that in the evening of October 11, "an explosion of gas-air mixture occurred in the territory of OOO Shakhtarsk Industrial Group near the mine No 16. 5 people were in the mine at the time of explosion".
According to the "ministry", 12 units of equipment and 59 people of the "state militarized mine rescue service" from neighboring Torez were involved in rescuing activities. Two miners were saved, the bodies of three other were found stone-dead.
