The leader of the "DPR" Alexander Zakharchenko ordered to consider the line of contact between the territories controlled by Ukraine and the occupied territories as a "state border". This is evidenced by the text of his "decree", which is published on the website of the so-called "Ministry for State Security of the DPR".
"To establish the status of the State Border for the line of contact between the Donetsk People's Republic (not legally existing - OstroV) and Ukraine", - the “decree” reads.
It is noted that the movement of individuals through the contact line is allowed only through "points of border control with mandatory registration”.
"The Ministry for State Security of the DPR warns that, according to paragraph 4 of this decree, the actions connected with the illegal crossing of the contact line or the organization of an illegal exit-entry into the Donetsk People's Republic, will be qualified in accordance with the Criminal Code of the DPR. Namely in accordance with Article 378 "Illegal crossing of the State Border", - the text of the message says.
