The militants force state employees in occupied Luhansk to receive the so-called "passports" issued by the "LPR". This is reported by local residents, - LIGA.net writes.

According to the website, in recent days, pressure has intensified in some enterprises and educational institutions.

"At first, we were included in the lists of the Peace of Luhansk (separatist movement in occupied territories, - OstroV), now they are talking about changing Ukrainian passports", - Sergei from Luhansk says, whose name was changed for security reasons.

Another Luhansk resident Alina added that she was not going to change her passport. "I believe that Ukraine will come here, I'm not a collaborator", - she said. However, not everyone has such position. "Many people, unfortunately, adapt and receive these documents. They argue that they live here and somehow they need to be adjusted", - the woman added.

Local resident Karina said that now with such "documents" she will be able to travel not only to Russia, but also Abkhazia and Transnistria. But she could not answer what prevented her from doing this with the Ukrainian passport. At the same time, Karina added that, despite the fact that she will receive the documents of the pseudo-republic, she will keep her Ukrainian passport as well.

"I was told that I can keep it. Maybe it will come in handy", - she said.

As previously reported, on February 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree recognizing the documents "issued to citizens of Ukraine and stateless persons living in certain territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts through to political settlement of the situation in these areas". President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called this decision another evidence of Russian occupation and a violation of international law.
