The imposing of martial law is possible in case of further escalation of the conflict in the Donbass. MP from the faction Petro Poroshenko Bloc Irina Lutsenko told this after the Conciliation Board of the Verkhovna Rada, - OstroV’s correspondent reports.
"If such aggravation continues for a long period and threatens the environmental security, human security, and we see that Putin seriously attacks on all fronts, we will admit the possibility of imposing of martial law," - she said.
She also noted that the recent escalation in Avdiivka showed that Ukraine is ready to resist.
"Ukraine is ready. Everything depends on how the situation will escalate. This option is possible.", - Lutsenko said.
Earlier it was reported that the head of the Batkivshchyna faction Yuliia Tymoshenko insists on the need for imposing of martial law in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
