Metinvest refused to comment on the threat of the leader of the "LPR" Igor Plotnitsky to nationalize Krasnodonugol for non-compliance with the laws "of the republic". It is stated in the response of the press service of the company to OstroV’s request.

"We do not comment on Plotnitsky’s statement," - said Metinvest.

Earlier OstroV reported that the so-called authorities of the "LPR" were threatening to nationalize Krasnodon coal company owned by Rinat Akhmetov.

The leader of the "LPR" Igor Plotnitsky was outraged by information that about the company registered in Ukraine didn’t give "LPR pensioners" preferential coal.

"Our pensioners who are registered in the "LPR" received refusal from Krasnodonugol PJSC to provide them with preferential coal. The reason is that they are registered pensioners in the "LPR". Please, deal with it, else it won’t be PJSC but a state company. If they do not understand on whose territory, I am already sick and tired of these Ukrainian companies. If they don’t understand - take strict measures. We have an opportunity to explain on whose territory they are and which they should obey in the first place," – said Plotnitsky.

At the same time, the press service of Metinvest"companies reported that as previously they provided " coal to pensioners at reduced prices."

Krasnodon is located on the occupied territory of Luhansk region and is part of the Metinvest company owned by Rinat Akhmetov. As stated on the website of Metinvest, the company is part of the mining division. Krasnodonugol is registered on the territory controlled by Ukraine.
