62% of Ukrainians trust President Volodymyr Zelensky, while 35% do not. The balance of trust and distrust stands at +27 percentage points. This is according to the results of a survey conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) on October 16–25, 2026.

Trust in the president increased throughout October. On October 8–9, 43% of respondents trusted Zelensky, while 52% did not. Between October 10 and 16, the figures stood at 57% and 39%, respectively.

KIIS suggests that the increase in trust may indicate a “rally around the flag” effect in response to pressure from the United States. At the same time, sociologists note that methodological factors may have partially influenced the results of the October 8–9 survey.

KIIS conducted a telephone survey of 828 adult Ukrainian citizens living in government-controlled territory. Under normal circumstances, the margin of statistical error for figures close to 50% does not exceed 4.4%. Additional systematic deviations are possible under wartime conditions.
