Russian authorities are continuing dialogue with the United States on an energy ceasefire with Ukraine, russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters on October 12, according to “The Moscow Times” Telegram channel.
“Contacts are ongoing. As soon as we have something to say on this topic, we will certainly inform you”, - Peskov said in response to a question about whether an agreement on an energy ceasefire had been reached and, if so, at what level.
Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov expressed a similar position.
“He [Volodymyr Zelensky] is very eager to use any words, any initiatives, any ideas that enter the public space to promote his desire for a respite by any means possible. I don't think he has earned a respite, and I don't think we will fall for assurances and promises once again”, - Lavrov said.
