President Volodymyr Zelensky said that efforts to deal with the aftermath of russian shelling are ongoing in Ukraine. According to him, russian forces attacked several regions overnight, damaging energy facilities, substations, civilian businesses, and residential buildings. The head of state reported this on social media.
In Kyiv, the depot at Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station, data and business centers, as well as residential buildings, were damaged.
In the Odesa oblast, an educational institution, a dormitory, and two foreign vessels were damaged.
The Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Zhytomyr, Volyn, and Rivne oblasts also came under attack overnight.
Zelensky noted that air defense forces intercepted russian targets during the attack, including ballistic missiles. He thanked everyone involved in defending Ukraine.
The president also noted the support provided by partners for Ukraine’s air defense. In particular, this includes the NASAMS system and a package of missiles for it from the United States and Norway, as well as air defense assistance packages for Ukraine from France and Germany.
“Against the backdrop of daily russian escalation, it is important that the protection of life receive continued support and that such packages keep arriving in the future”, - Zelensky wrote.
