The Ukrainian company Fire Point has moved to the stage of military testing of the FP-7 ballistic missile. Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh told the Militarnyi publication.
According to her, the FP-7 has already successfully completed two stages of testing and is now undergoing military trials. This stage is also part of the missile’s codification process.
The first stages involve ground and laboratory tests, during which each system and subsystem of the missile is tested separately, in particular the rocket engine and navigation equipment.
This is followed by flight tests, during which data on the missile’s performance is obtained and its actual characteristics are checked against the calculated ones.
In addition, Terekh said that the FP-7 could enter service in the near future.
“We are talking about weeks, not months”, - she noted.
At the end of November 2025, it was reported that the company planned to complete the codification process for the FP-7 tactical ballistic missile at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine by the end of 2025.
In early February 2026, Denys Shtilerman told DW in an interview that despite hopes that the missile would enter service by the end of 2025, a “series of events” had prevented this from happening — “we hope to complete all the tests in February”.
At the same time, another missile, the FP-9, is currently undergoing flight tests, meaning it is at the second stage.
