Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Volodymyr Horbatiuk.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the state's defense strategy, cooperation with international partners, and accelerating the implementation of agreements on the delivery of necessary assistance for the Defense Forces. The head of state reported this on July 20.

According to the president, the meeting focused on key issues concerning the country's defense and coordination with partners. He did not disclose details of its outcomes but emphasized that the meeting was productive.

"I held a meeting with Deputy Chief of the General Staff Volodymyr Horbatiuk. We discussed the strategy for defending our state and the details of cooperation with our partners. We will accelerate the implementation of agreements on deliveries. It was a substantive conversation", - Volodymyr Zelensky noted.

Volodymyr Horbatiuk holds the rank of Major General in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He has served as Deputy Chief of the General Staff since 2024.

In addition, the president reported holding a separate meeting with Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi. According to Zelensky, the conversation covered a number of important issues related to coordinating the actions of the Ukrainian military.

"I am grateful for today's conversation—we managed to discuss many issues with Mykhailo Drapatyi. It is important that the experience of all components of Ukraine's Defense Forces is applied in a coordinated manner", - the president emphasized.

The head of state also met with Commander of the Third Army Corps of the Ground Forces Andrii Biletskyi.

"A meeting with Andrii Biletskyi. As always, a thorough report on the situation in his sector. I appreciate both his overall vision of Ukraine's prospects at the front and his strategy for action. Glory to Ukraine!" - Zelensky wrote.
