“According to last year's data, 30 orphaned children from the LNR found new families in other regions of Russia**. How are things now?” - a local journalist asked the so-called “republican” commissioner for children's rights, Inna Shvenk.

“Despite the fact that our Republic is still not connected to the federal database of children left without parental care, we operate a regional database. Candidates wishing to take children into their families under guardianship or adoption come to our Republic, register with us, and provide the necessary package of documents”, - she said in an interview with the “official” LNR media outlet.

“We place children with families. Since the beginning of the year, 24 children have already been placed in such families”, - Shvenk stated.

In doing so, she effectively confirmed the transfer of Ukrainian children to russia through a legally void adoption procedure.

**Occupied Luhansk oblast is not part of the russian federation under Ukrainian legislation or international law.

As previously reported, according to the UK Foreign Office, 20,000 Ukrainian children have been deported, and 6,000 of them were sent to military camps for “re-education”.
