“If we believe the statistics, then for the special military operation (SMO) alone, just four rather troubled regions of russia have sent more than four hundred and fifty thousand people”, - laments former commander of the Donetsk SSU “Alpha” unit Alexander Khodakovsky, who now holds a leadership position in the “Rosgvardiya administration for the DNR”.
By “troubled”, he meant regions with a high percentage of so-called depressed territories, he clarified, adding that there are several dozen such territories in russia.
“What kind of contingent left for the SMO, for example, from Krasnoyarsk Krai? As a rule, these are people with difficult lives and vague prospects, living in such conditions or in such places that it’s either the SMO or the grave… In the clip about an SMO participant, this is shown quite well: vodka and hopelessness…” - he describes the realities of the russian military.
In total, according to Khodakovsky’s calculations, asocial elements from depressed regions of russia number “well over a million”. Many of them will die in Donbas, but many of those who survive will not want to return home. “Well, agree, no matter how wonderful the Motyginsky District of Krasnoyarsk Krai may be, the ground in the SMO zone doesn’t freeze deeply”, - he jokes.
“Tens of thousands of people, coming out of the war, will want to stay in a more favorable area. These people, even before going to war, did not always lead a social lifestyle — up to fifty percent either committed crimes or were inclined to commit them — and after the meat grinder, what is happening in their minds is known only to God”, - he fears.
Khodakovsky suggests already now developing a mechanism “for how we will work with this huge concentrated mass so that serious consequences do not occur”. He notes that “if we don’t find an answer to this question, they will answer it themselves. They know how to kill, and they will always have grievances against the rear — up to deep hatred”.
“In our time, when the law enforcement system is going through hard times, a big fight may await us”, - he predicts.
