“The total combat losses of the russian army since the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, as of April 16, 2026, have reached approximately 1,315,070 people. Over the past day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 1,100 more occupiers”, - the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on April 16.
Also over the past day, Ukrainian forces destroyed 2 tanks and 1 armored combat vehicle. The total equipment losses of russia amount to 11,866 tanks and 24,391 armored vehicles.
Significant losses are being sustained by the enemy’s artillery — over the past day, 43 artillery systems were destroyed (40,046 in total), as well as 2 multiple launch rocket systems (1,738 in total) and 1 air defense system (1,347).
In the air, Ukrainian defenders destroyed another 1,357 operational-tactical level UAVs (240,598 in total) and 20 cruise missiles (4,537 in total).
Losses of russians in automotive equipment and fuel tanks increased by 208 units (89,761 in total), special equipment — by 1 unit (4,126).
The figures for losses of aircraft (435), helicopters (350), ships and boats (33), as well as submarines (2) remain unchanged.
