In March 2026, Ukraine for the first time since the beginning of the full-scale war surpassed the russian federation in the number of drones used. This was reported by “Glavkom”, citing ABC News.

According to the ministry of defense of russia, during the month, russian air defense allegedly shot down 7,347 Ukrainian drones — the highest figure ever reported by moscow. Thus, on average, about 237 drones were launched per day over the territory of russia. At the same time, information about drones that were not shot down is traditionally not disclosed by the russian side.

In March, russia used 6,462 drones and 138 missiles of various types against Ukraine. Of these, the Defense Forces of Ukraine neutralized or intercepted 5,833 drones and 102 missiles. This means that Ukraine was subjected to an average of about 208 drone attacks per day.

According to media reports, such statistics may indicate a gradual shift in the balance in favor of Ukraine. In particular, this may be related to the development of Ukraine’s own drone and missile capabilities. At the same time, journalists note that these data cannot be independently verified.
