“Running water supply will return after reconstruction: 250,000 residents of the LNR are waiting for the completion of work at the pumping station”, - a report by local television says.

It notes that due to the large-scale reconstruction of the pumping station in the “Slovianoserbsk district”, Alchevsk, Stakhanov (Kadiivka — OstroV), Perevalsk, Brianka, and other areas (total of 40 settlements) have been disconnected from water supply.

Utility workers are replacing rotten pipes and promise to restore water supply by March 23.

As reported, the head of the "LNR", Leonid Pasechnik, hopes to partially solve the problem of providing the population with water through the costly purification of mine water.
