Investigation on crimes of so-called "head of the Supreme Court" of the"DPR" terrorist organization, Russian citizen Eduard Yakubovsky was completed: he will be tried in absentia, - reports the press service of the Prosecutor's Office in Donetsk region.

"Investigation division of the investigation department of the Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk region completed the investigation of criminal proceedings under Part 1, Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine -3 (creating or participating in a terrorist group or terrorist organization) in respect to Russian Federation citizen Eduard Yakubovsky who works for terrorists of the "DPR" , - said the statement.

The Prosecutor's Office found that Yakubovsky, born in 1959 in Moscow, being a citizen of the Russian Federation, took the position of the so-called "head of the Supreme Court of the DPR" in September 2014 after the capture of Donetsk by members of the "DPR" illegal terrorist organization, knowing the illegality of their actions."

Since Yakubovsky is on the temporarily occupied territory of the militants, the Prosecutor's Office in Donetsk region decided to carry out a special pre-trial investigation against him.

The Prosecutor's Office of Donetsk region officially summoned for Eduard Yakubovsky for interrogation to hand in the notice of suspect, interrogate him as a suspect, present the indictment and familiarize with the materials of the criminal proceedings, however, he did not appear for interrogation.

He is currently listed as wanted. The casewas sent to the court for the conviction in absentia.

Maximum punishment is up to 15 years in prison.
