“Today Ukraine brought back 205 warriors. Young guys and grown men from almost all branches and types of the armed forces. Defenders of Mariupol and defenders of the entire front line”, - President Volodymyr Zelensky said on May 6.
“They had been scattered across many russian regions, imprisoned within the penal system with a single purpose: to torment and destroy their humanity. We brought them back. And I thank everyone who worked on this exchange. Thanks to our partners, first and foremost the United Arab Emirates, for their mediation and support. Thanks to those who care and continue to speak out about Ukrainians in captivity. Every day, we fight for our people. We will absolutely do everything to bring each and every one of them back”, - the President assured.
