Russian occupiers carried out 1,879 strikes on cities and villages in the Donetsk oblast over the course of a day. One person was killed, and four others were wounded. The region's police reported this on Telegram on May 7th.

"Impacts were recorded in 11 populated areas: the cities of Kostiantynivka, Kurakhove, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, the villages of Velyka Novosilka, Kurakhivka, Petrivka, Yampil, Kalynove, Malynivka, Stara Mykolaivka. Twelve civilian objects were damaged - eight residential houses, an educational institution, a police administration building, a boiler room, and a car", - the message said.

"Russian forces carried out an air strike with a UMPB D-30SM bomb on Kostiantynivka. Four residents were injured. Three apartment buildings, an educational institution, a boiler room, and a car were damaged. The enemy shelled the village of Petrivka with artillery. One person was killed. Occupiers conducted an air strike on Toretsk, hitting the police administration building. As a result of artillery shelling, a private house in Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, and two houses in Kalynove were damaged", - the police stated.

The Donetsk Oblast Military Administration reported on Telegram on May 7th that another 506 people, including 51 children, were evacuated from the front line over the course of the day.
