The EU countries have agreed to use 90% of the proceeds from frozen russian assets for Ukraine's military needs. Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz announced this, as reported by "Nastoyashchee Vremya".
"We in Europe have reached a consensus on wanting to use the unexpected profits from frozen russian assets. This is a significant amount, totaling several billion annually. We have also come to an agreement, which is currently being finalized, that we also want to use about 90% of these funds for Ukraine's defense purposes", - said Scholz.
According to him, the EU also agrees that these funds can be used for weapons purchases "not only in the EU, but also worldwide".
