The UK Secretary and former Prime Minister David Cameron visited Kyiv on Thursday and promised Ukraine 3 billion pounds (3.74 billion dollars) annually, as well as stated that Ukraine has the right to use the weapons received from Britain to strike russian territory. This was reported by the BBC.
The official Kyiv has not yet reported on David Cameron's visit.
"We will give three billion pounds every year for as long as it is necessary. We have simply exhausted everything we could in terms of equipment and weapons", - Reuters quoted Cameron as saying.
As for the use of the funds received from Britain against russian territory, this, according to Cameron, is up to the Ukrainians to decide.
"Ukraine has that right. Russia is striking Ukrainian territory, and it is quite understandable that Ukraine feels the need to ensure its own defense", - Cameron said.
Cameron met in Kyiv with President Volodymyr Zelensky and other members of the Ukrainian leadership and, in particular, announced new shipments of weapons and ammunition from Britain, including high-precision air bombs, anti-aircraft missiles and equipment for 100 mobile anti-aircraft groups.
