Twelve-year-old Yana Stepanenko completed the 5-kilometer run on prosthetics as part of the Boston Marathon. This was reported by former diplomat Oleh Sharapa, who currently resides in the USA, in his Telegram channel on April 14th.
He reminded that in 2022, the girl lost both legs during a rocket strike by the russian army on the railway station in Kramatorsk.

"The purpose of her run was to raise funds for a sports prosthesis for serviceman Oleksandr Riasny, who lost a leg while defending Zaporizhzhia. I want to announce that Ukrainians in Florida raised almost $10,000 for prosthetics for the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces as part of this campaign", - added the former diplomat.
