As a result of another shelling by russia on the morning of April 11 in the Kharkiv oblast, the thermal power plant (TPP), which supplies the city, was damaged, and the transformer substation was completely destroyed. This was reported by the Kharkiv City Council on Telegram.
According to Ihor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, despite significant destruction, the city continues to function.
"We have resumed the operation of the metro, launched trolleybus and some tram routes. But Kharkiv now urgently needs a modern air defense system. Without it, everything we are restoring will be attacked again by the enemy", - emphasized Terekhov.
Additionally, he noted that the Office of the President and other cities and regions of Ukraine are providing Kharkiv with generators and fuel to help withstand the conditions of regular enemy attacks on the energy sector.
It was previously reported that as a result of a massive russian missile attack, the Trypilska TPP in the Kyiv oblast was completely destroyed.
