The authorities of the "DNR" reported that since the beginning of the "special military operation" (SMO), they have restored 6,700 privately-owned houses damaged by the fighting and promise to restore another approximately 3,000 this year. "Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services" of the "republic", Maksim Zhukovsky, shared this information with local journalists as a significant achievement.

"This year, it is planned to restore 2,992 objects of individual residential buildings. Work is already underway in several settlements—houses restored in Mariupol, Horlivka, Dokuchaievsk, and other cities", - promised the occupation official.

According to the "ministry's" data, around 6,700 privately-owned houses have been restored in the "DNR" since 2022.

However, the "mayor" of the city, Oleg Morgun, admitted that in Mariupol alone, as a result of the military actions, 32,500 privately-owned houses were damaged.
