Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko demands prosecutors to declare their income or resign. He stated this during a sudden inspection of the work of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office №4 ofSuvorov district of Odessa, - reports Ukrainska Pravda.
Lutsenko expressed outrage on inconsistency of the prosecutors’ lifestyle to their income. The Prosecutor General asked the first deputy head of the Prosecutor's Office about circumstances and cost of buying a Toyota Avalon, the price of which does not comply with the official salary of the prosecutor.
"With this approach either declare where you took the money or resign," – said Lutsenko.
He also held meetings with prosecutors who informed on the current workload, the number of cases in the courts, effectiveness of the work.
Particular attention was paid to the organization of the reception of citizens, registration of cases, speed and effectiveness of their processing.
